Accessibility statement
Last updated: 6 November 2026
We want everyone to be able to use the HoWA Business website. This statement covers this website only. It is run by HoWA Living Ltd.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. You should be able to:
- use every page and the business interest form with a keyboard alone;
- zoom to 200% without content being cut off or needing to scroll sideways;
- use a screen reader, with labelled links, buttons and form fields;
- turn off animation through your device's reduced-motion setting.
How we have checked
On 6 November 2026 we checked every page at widths of 320, 360, 768 and 1440 pixels:
- with an automated accessibility checker (axe-core, set to WCAG 2.2 AA and best practice), including with the cookie banner and the cookie preferences showing. It found no problems;
- that no page scrolls sideways. A width of 320 pixels is what a 1280 pixel screen shows at 400% zoom;
- that no text is smaller than 14 pixels.
On 22 October 2026 we also ran the automated checker with the mobile menu open, and checked by hand with a keyboard: the skip link, opening and closing the menu, and the form, where errors are listed at the top and linked to each field.
We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit, and the site has not yet been tested by people who use assistive technology. Automated checks cannot find every problem, so we cannot yet say the site fully meets WCAG 2.2 AA.
Parts you may find harder to use
The business interest form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check provided by Cloudflare, to stop automated messages. It usually runs without you doing anything. If it ever stops you sending the form, email us instead and we will take your enquiry that way.
Tell us about a problem
If something on this website is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email hello@howa.co.uk. Please tell us the page and what happened. We will reply and work with you to fix it or give you what you need another way.
About this statement
We prepared this statement on 6 November 2026, before the site's public launch. We will review it when the site changes, and at least once a year.
